Welcome to the 4th Annual International Mixed Methods Conference and Workshops, 21 to 24 July 2008 taking place at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, UK.
This year the Conference programme features a range of events, including Keynote Lectures from Professor John W Creswell, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Professor Julia Brannen, Institute of Education; Invited Sessions with Professor Graham Crow, Deputy Director of the ESRC National Centre for Research Methods and Dr Patrick Brindle, Senior Research Methods Editor at Sage Publications; and a Plenary Panel Discussion chaired by Dr Tessa Muncey, Anglia Ruskin University, with Professor John W Creswell, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Professor Dawn Freshwater, University of Leeds. Workshops will include Conducting mixed methods research and the practice of research with Professor John W Creswell and Dr Vicki L Plano Clark, Online research methods with Dr Bojana Lobe, "Any other comments?": The use of open questions in questionnaires with Dr Alicia O'Cathain, Transformative mixed methods research with Professor Donna M Mertens, A step-by-step guide to publishing mixed research articles with Professor Anthony Onwuegbuzie and Professor Kathleen M T Collins, and Creating visual displays: Using graphical techniques for exploration, discovery, and dissemination of research findings with Dr Wendy B Dickinson.
