Dr. King’s research interests include HIV, gender-based violence and access to health services. In her own research, she uses qualitative inquiry and mixed methods approaches to examine access to services for vulnerable populations. She has an interdisciplinary training background in the social and behavioral sciences and epidemiology. Dr. King has led trainings and provided technical assistance on qualitative and mixed methods research projects in the United States and a variety of international settings in Europe, Central Asia and Africa.
