Dr. Pinto is Associate Dean for Research and Professor at the UM School of Social Work and Associate Editor, Journal of Mixed Methods Research. He is interested in the integration of mixed methods in cross-­‐sectional and longitudinal implementation research in the United States, Brazil and Spain. He uses mixed methods to study the impact of transdisciplinary collaboration on the delivery of evidence-­‐based services, particularly to women and others most affected by HIV and substance abuse. His research, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, focuses on the diffusion of HIV prevention and other related evidence-­‐based services.
