Dr. Wittmann is an Associate Professor of Urology and Adjunct Associate Professor of Social Work. She uses mixed methods to understand issues in cancer survivorship care and to evaluate interventions designed to improve patients' and partners' outcomes. Her area of interest is sexual health and quality of life in cancer survivorship. She is the Principal Investigator of a multisite study, funded by the Movember Foundation, that has developed, tested, and is implementing an intervention to support couples' sexual recovery after treatment for prostate cancer. She is co-investigator in other studies focused on quality of life in prostate cancer survivorship.
