The Michael D. Fetters Scholarship Awards
Re-named in honor of the late Director and Co-Founder of the Mixed Methods Program, Dr. Michael Fetters, the intent of this award is to provide scholarship support for doctoral or master's students enrolled full-time in a US graduate program who identify as people from groups underrepresented in science and want to be trained in the latest advances in mixed methods research. Our definition of underrepresented minorities (URM) in science includes those who identify as underrepresented by race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, socioeconomic status, or who are first-generation college students. Our consideration of URM is also informed by the NIH Statement on Diversity. Scholarship support covers the registration fee for one of the Mixed Methods Program online workshops. This award (formerly named the US Doctoral Scholarship) is made possible through the generosity of the Michael D. Fetters, M.D., M.P.H., M.A. and John W. Creswell, Ph.D. Mixed Methods Innovation Fund.
Note: Postdoctoral scholars are not eligible to apply for this award.
