Mixed Methods analysis and integration: An intermediate Workshop

Dates: March 11-13, 2026

This interactive zoom workshop explores mixed methods integration and analysis strategies and procedures. Our faculty methodologists will provide instruction in state-of-the art thinking you can apply directly to your projects. The 3-day workshop will consist of presentations alternating with real-time work sessions to apply concepts. 

Co-lead by Dr. Tim Guetterman and Dr. Sergi Fabregues
What you can expect from this live 3-Day online workshop:

​-Identify key principles of analysis and integration in Mixed Methods research.

- Plan and design a mixed methods study with qualitative and quantitative integration in mind.

- Define and implement a mixed methods data analysis plan.

- Select appropriate integration strategies to answer the research question(s) of the study.

- Develop joint displays for integration at various stages.

- Select the appropriate joint display tool(s) according to the integration strategies used.

- Generate meta-inferences when integrating at the interpretation phase of the mixed methods study.

- Report the integration appropriately in a mixed methods article or other deliverable.

- Select a software to support mixed methods analysis and integration that meets your needs.


Please Note:


  • This workshop is most appropriate for those who already have knowledge of mixed methods research fundamentals, for instance by having taken a Mixed Methods course; it is not recommended for those who are completely new to Mixed Methods.
 
  • Having already defined a mixed methods research question that requires integration at one or more stages for an ongoing or planned study is encouraged (but not required).
 
  • Having begun the data collection phase of your project is helpful but not required.
