P. Paul Chandanabhumma, PhD, MPH
​Postdoctoral Fellow
​
Dr. Chandanabhumma recently completed his PhD in Community Health Sciences at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. His research interests lie at the intersection of health inequities, race, culture, community engagement, and the social production of medical and public health practice. His mixed methods dissertation research examined the influences of group diversity on the processes and achievements of community-based participatory research (CBPR) partnerships.

Michael D. Fetters, MD, MPH, MA

Professor, Department of Family Medicine, University of Michigan


​Dr. Fetters’ research focuses on the influence of culture on medical decision making and health services research. His qualitative and mixed methods research interests focus on methodology, particularly integration and use of mixed methods research in cross-cultural studies. Dr. Fetters has led multiple funded mixed methods investigations, and provided many workshops internationally. He serves as Co-Editor, Journal of Mixed Methods Research.

Who Should Attend: 
The workshop targets researchers, faculty, staff, and students motivated to design a mixed methods research project using both qualitative and quantitative methods.


What to Expect:
  • Work on your mixed methods proposal, research study, or manuscript
  • Improve your project with rigorous methodology using a participatory format
  • Refine your project through group consultation with leading methodologists and group feedback

$1,200 per participant (student rate $900*)​
