Sara and George McCune
Scholarship Awards
 

The intent of this award is to enable female graduate students, faculty or students/faculty who engage in women-centered/gender-based research from the Global South to receive education and training in the latest advances in mixed methods research. Scholarship support covers the registration fee for one of the 2026 Mixed Methods Program online workshops. This award is made possible through the generosity of the McCune Foundation.

a) your personal information b) a personal statement of interest c) the research project description, along with proof of status (a letter/certificate in indicating your student/faculty status in English). Note that we advise preparing your proof of status documentation and application answers separately before starting the qualtrics survey to avoid technical issues.

  • Spring 2026 Mixed Methods Analysis & Integration  Dates: 3/11-3/13 (note: not recommended for those with limited Mixed Methods training)
  • Summer 2026 Mixed Methods Dissertation/Thesis  Dates: 6/10-6/12
  • Summer 2026 Mixed Methods Essentials Dates: 6/8-6/12
  • Fall 2026 Mixed Methods Design Dates: 11/11-11/13

Statement of Interest 
Please submit a statement of interest that describes your pertinent personal experiences and goals that would make you an appropriate candidate for this award (WORD LIMIT: 250). 

Your statement should include:

-Why you want to participate in the workshop
-Your financial need for this scholarship
-Any additional relevant factors that you believe are important for the selection committee to know
-How you would use your MMP workshop experience to enhance the development of mixed methods research in your home country

​Research Project Statement 
Please submit a research project statement (WORD LIMIT: 250). 

Your statement should include:



-A draft title for your research project and project type (dissertation etc.)
-Problem(s) your project addresses
- Research question(s)
-Types and sources of quantitative and qualitative data collected
-Mixed methods design used (as applicable)
-How you are or planning to analyze and integrate the different types of data
