Masahito Jimbo, MD, PhD, MPH is Professor of Family Medicine and Urology and Chief of University Family Medicine Inpatient Service. Dr. Jimbo has extensive clinical experience internationally (Japan) and in rural (North Carolina), urban (Philadelphia), and suburban community and academic practices. He has consulted on multiple major Japanese teaching institutions on postgraduate education. In research, he has led federally funded projects on patient-physician communication and shared decision making, screening and preventive behavior, and decision aids. He also consults on implementing effective screening strategies in community practices in Michigan and management of chronic kidney diseases in Japan.
