The late Dr. Fetters’ research focused on the influence of culture on medical decision making, cancer communication, and health services research. His qualitative and mixed methods research interests focused on methodology, particularly integration and the use of mixed methods research in cross-cultural studies. Dr. Fetters led multiple funded mixed methods investigations, and provided many workshops around the globe. He served as Director, Michigan Mixed Methods Program, which he co-founded with research methodologist John W. Creswell. He also served as Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Mixed Methods Research. His book, the Mixed Methods Research Workbook (2020) is published by Sage, Inc.
