Qualitative Research Workshop
An introduction to the fundamentals of qualitative research, with participatory exercises, and applications in Asian countries

This workshop will be held on April 13 and half day on April 14, 2019 in downtown Osaka, Japan. It is an introductory workshop for individuals interested in learning more about the basic features of a good qualitative research study.  The workshop will be facilitated by leading international scholars - John W. Creswell, PhD, Melissa DeJonckheere, Ph.D., both of the University of Michigan Mixed Methods Program, and Mariko Hirose, PhD of Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan. The workshop is open to individuals interested in research from the health and social sciences.  A focus will be on the basic steps in the process of qualitative research and will involve activities of key parts of the process.  No prior knowledge of qualitative research is necessary. There will be some recommended short reading materials sent prior to the workshop.  It will be delivered in both English and Japanese.
