This workshop is meant to assist participants in writing their mixed methods empirical and methodological papers. Workshop leaders are both editors for the Journal of Mixed Methods Research IF: 3.27, 1/98 in the Social Sciences.
What to Expect:
  • Day 1: Interactive process with brief presentations followed by work time. Participants will have time to incorporate presentation recommendations into their papers.
  • Day 2: Review of recommended procedures for assessing quality of mixed methods papers and principles for peer review. Participants will submit their working drafts for blinded peer-review, and will apply the presented information by reviewing papers of others.
  • Outcome: Learn and incorporate cutting edge mixed methods procedures into your own papers, as well as learn and apply best practices for peer review of mixed methods papers. 

*All participants will be expected to focus intensely on writing their mixed methods papers, and should have a manuscript to work on.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT: Abstract in accordance with a target journal required. Optional to submit draft manuscript but both must be submitted by May 2, 2019.
