Spring 2019 writing workshop
Writing your mixed methods research for publication
Presented by Michael D. Fetters, MD, MPH, MA and Sergi Fàbregues, PhD
This workshop is meant to assist participants in writing their mixed methods empirical and methodological papers. Workshop leaders are both editors for the Journal of Mixed Methods Research IF: 3.27, 1/98 in the Social Sciences.
What to Expect:
*All participants will be expected to focus intensely on writing their mixed methods papers, and should have a manuscript to work on.
- Day 1: Interactive process with brief presentations followed by work time. Participants will have time to incorporate presentation recommendations into their papers.
- Day 2: Review of recommended procedures for assessing quality of mixed methods papers and principles for peer review. Participants will submit their working drafts for blinded peer-review, and will apply the presented information by reviewing papers of others.
- Outcome: Learn and incorporate cutting edge mixed methods procedures into your own papers, as well as learn and apply best practices for peer review of mixed methods papers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT: Abstract in accordance with a target journal required. Optional to submit draft manuscript but both must be submitted by May 2, 2019.
